Hit 500 followers in a single day last week and I'm Still confused

I posted a really dumb 15 second clip of my cat knocking over a plant and it got 40k views out of nowhere, while my carefully edited tutorials get like 200 views max after a week. Has anyone else had a random post just blow up for no obvious reason?

Haha yeah that "random post blow up" thing is so weird. I mean once I posted a video of my kid making the world's saddlooking pancake and it got like 100k views while my actually useful recipes get ignored. Maybe the algorithm just has a soft spot for chaos and messes.

Wait, can I ask how old your kid was when they made that pancake? Because the idea of a little kid flipping a deformed pancake and it going viral while your actual recipes get lost in the sauce is kind of hilarious. In my experience, the algorithm is basically just a toddler that laughs at weird shaped food and ignores anything actually useful.
