TIL a left-handed client's cowlick took me 45 minutes to figure out
Last Wednesday a regular brought in his 9 year old son for a back to school cut, and the boy had a swirl right at the crown that pushed everything forward no matter what I did. I kept cutting it wet and it looked fine, but the second it dried the whole thing flipped up like a wave. After 45 minutes and two re-wets I finally just cut it dry, going against the growth instead of with it, and it laid flat. I have been cutting hair 11 years and felt like a first year apprentice. Anyone else got a trick for cowlicks, or do you just tell the kid to own it?
