That cheap clipper blade set from a flea market fried my motor in 20 minutes

Picked up a 10 pack of blades for $12 last weekend to save a buck, and after three cuts the overheating seized up my Wahl Senior, so now I'm stuck using a backup trimmer for the rest of the day anyone else had a bad batch ruin a tool?

Man, that's a rough way to learn the "buy cheap, buy twice" lesson. I've been there with a set of $8 blades that turned my Oster into a smoke machine mid haircut. Now I just stick to one decent brand and pay the extra few bucks, even if it hurts the wallet. Did the motor actually seize up or did it just overheat and need a cooldown?
