Spent two hours trying to get a clean line on a kid's flat top yesterday

The kid kept moving and his hair was super thick, so my usual method just didn't work. I finally got it right by switching to my old corded clippers and using a slower, lighter touch. What's your go-to trick for a tough cut when the client is fidgety?

Honestly, the corded clippers are a solid move. For a squirmy kid, sometimes you just need a second pair of hands. Get a parent or an older sibling to gently hold the kid's head still. It sounds simple, but that steady pressure makes all the difference. You can focus on the line instead of playing a tracking game.

Man, I used to think asking for help was a sign I couldn't handle it. But after a day like you described, I totally get what @perry.evan means about a second pair of hands. That steady hold lets you just focus on the cut and it's a game changer.

Yeah, but @kelly385, sometimes the kid just fights harder with an extra person holding them down.
