Saw a guy at the Chicago trade show cut a whole head with a straight razor, changed how I taper
Honestly I was at the Midwest Barber Expo back in March and this older guy named Ray from Detroit did a full demo using nothing but a straight razor for the outline and tapers. I had been relying on my trimmers for years and never thought to switch it up. Tried it on 3 clients since then and the blend looks way cleaner, though it took me a while to get the angle right. Anyone else pick up a new trick from a live demo that stuck with them?
