Never thought I'd say this, but freehand trimming changed my game.

It lets you see the hair's natural flow, trust me.

Last month in Austin, a friend ruined her hair with freehand trimming. She cut too much trying to follow the natural flow and needed a fix. Using section clips and mirrors is a safer bet for most people.

Watch how it fixes those tiny trouble spots scissors can't reach easily, like when one layer decides to grow out weird at the back. You can just snip the single piece that's sticking out without taking off length from the whole section. It saved my grown-out bangs last month, letting me blend them without that harsh, chopped line. You really follow the hair where it wants to go instead of fighting it.

Yeah, @grace_bailey, that's so true! My friend Lisa had this exact thing happen. She had layers in the back that grew out all weird, with one piece sticking out like an antenna. She tried using normal scissors but kept taking off too much length. Then she got those tiny trimming shears and just snipped that single piece. It blended right in without cutting the whole section. She was so happy with how it turned out!
