Just realized my old clipper guard technique was causing uneven fades

I was working on a high skin fade in my shop last Tuesday when the client pointed out a harsh line I'd missed. I'd been holding the clipper at the same angle for years, but a quick switch to a more rolling wrist motion blended it right out. Anyone have a different method for avoiding those lines on tight fades?

Honestly, that rolling wrist move is the only thing that works for me. Tried everything else and it just made a bigger mess. You have to keep the clipper moving, no stopping at all. Letting it sit for even a second is what makes that line. It feels weird at first but you get used to it. Makes the whole fade just melt together.

Oh man, that "harsh line" thing is the WORST. I've been there. The rolling wrist trick is a total game changer for sure.
