I spent 6 hours fixing a fade that looked fine to everyone but me

So I had this client last week who wanted a really tight fade from a 1 up to a 4, and I spent way too long obsessing over a tiny dark spot near the crown. Everyone else said it looked perfect, but I kept going back in with my trimmer trying to blend it out. Turns out it was just a shadow from the overhead lights in my shop. Took me 6 hours total for what should have been a 45 minute cut because I couldn't let it go. Has anyone else had a lighting issue trick you into overworking a cut?

That lighting trick is the universe's way of testing how well you trust your own eyes.

Yeah that actually changed my mind. Never saw it that way before.
