Dropped $310 on a secondhand Andis clipper setup and it changed my whole week
Ngl I was using a cheap $40 clipper from a big box store for my first two years cutting hair out of my garage, and my fades always had that fuzzy line nobody could miss. A guy who runs a shop over on Vine in Fort Wayne let me try his Masters clippers for one cut, and I felt the difference on the very first pass. So I found a used pair online for $190 with a few guards, then dropped another $120 on a ceramic blade and some good oil to keep it running. My blends got cleaner right away, but here is the thing, nobody warned me that a heavier clipper wears your wrist out after about six heads in a row. I did nine cuts last Saturday and my forearm was toast by the end, which never happened with the light plastic one. Now I am wondering if I should have gone with a cordless set instead, even though it costs more. Any of you running cordless for a full day of cuts, and does the battery actually last or do you keep a backup on the charger?
