Clipper clashed with a dog's matted fur in West Philly and it went wild

I was cutting a doodle mix last Tuesday and his coat was so matted my Andis clipper literally seized up halfway through a pass. The dog jumped off the table and ran through my whole station, knocking over combs and spray bottles everywhere. Anyone else had a pet groom go totally off the rails like that?

Five seconds of running doesn't really sound like "totally off the rails" to me.

Wait is that really that big of a deal though? I mean yeah the dog jumped off the table but it sounds like he just ran around for a second then probably chilled out. I've had clippers catch on mats before and it's annoying but most dogs just shake it off and move on like nothing happened. Maybe it's just me but I feel like we hear about these "wild" grooming stories and half the time it's just a standard dog being a dog for two minutes. Unless he actually broke something expensive I'd just grab a dematting tool and try again. Like I'm not trying to be mean but it's really not that serious unless the dog was actually aggressive or hurt.
