Appreciation post: I finally gave the cold towel thing a real shot
For years I thought it was just a fancy spa gimmick, but a regular at my shop in Dayton kept asking for it after his shave. I started keeping a small cooler with damp towels in the fridge last month. The first time I used one, he literally sighed and said, 'Man, that's the stuff.' It just makes the whole finish feel way more polished. Anyone else do this, or have a different little touch that clients love?

That drop of peppermint oil is a pro move. I use a tiny bit of eucalyptus in mine. The cool towel is great, but that little scent hit right after a hot shave makes people close their eyes for a second. It just locks in the whole feeling. I had a guy tell me it was the most awake he'd felt all week.

Oh, that's the real secret weapon. It's not just about the cool feeling, it's that final moment of pure care. You're telling the client the whole service is done, and they can just relax. The scent additions people are talking about just make it even better. It turns a simple towel into a full experience. That little sigh from your regular says it all.
