That time I tried to substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream in a coffee cake

Thought I was being smart cutting fat, but the cake came out dense and kind of tangy in a bad way. Took me three tries to get the ratio right for next time. Anyone else ever mess up a simple swap like that?

Does @brown.gavin think the tang is worse the next day as it sits in the fridge?

Oh man, I did the exact same thing with Greek yogurt in a banana bread once. Took me forever to realize you can't just swap one for one without tweaking the liquid too. @jana_fox50 is spot on about the tang getting worse in the fridge too, I learned that the hard way.

Finally settled on half yogurt, half buttermilk and a tablespoon less sugar. Fixed the texture and that weird tang completely.
