My sister's wedding cake fell apart in the car and a guy at the gas station saved it with toothpicks
Last June I baked a 3 tier lemon cake for my sister's wedding in Sacramento. I put it in the back seat and hit a speed bump coming out of the driveway. One tier slid clean off and the frosting smeared across the box. I pulled into a Shell station near Roseville pretty much crying, and a guy in a truck saw me panicking. He grabbed a box of toothpicks from his glovebox and we stuck that thing back together in like 5 minutes. Looked janky as hell from the side but nobody noticed at the reception. Has anyone else had a stranger rescue a bake disaster at the worst possible time?
