My mom swore by room temp butter for cookies, I ignored her for 5 years
I always just microwaved my butter for 30 seconds cause I was in a rush. Last week I finally tried her way and my cookies actually spread right for once. Has anyone else fought a family member's advice for years only to realize they were 100% right?
Oh man, I read somewhere that cold butter gives you flatter cookies while room temp helps them puff up more evenly. Took me way too long to test that out myself.
