Went to that new bakery on Maple Street and saw something wild

They had a whole display of cupcakes with frosting so thick it looked like a softball was sitting on top, and the price was $7 each. I'm all for a good buttercream, but that's just wasteful and kinda gross, lmao. Do you think customers actually like that, or is it just for Instagram?

Saw the same thing at a place downtown last month. Bought one to try and it was just a sugar bomb, couldn't even taste the cake. Ended up scraping most of it off. It's definitely for the photo, not for eating. People order them once for the picture and then never go back. A good cupcake needs balance, not a mountain of frosting.

Scraping it off? That's a whole new level of bad.

Spot the same trend with fancy cocktails and loaded burgers. Everything's built for likes now, not for actually enjoying it.
