I paid $12 for a used DVD of The Room at a flea market in Tulsa, and it broke my movie night curse
My friends and I used to just scroll for an hour and give up, so I started buying the worst stuff I could find at thrift stores. This guy selling junk in Tulsa had a bin of DVDs for $2 each and I grabbed The Room plus three others for $12 total. Best money I ever spent, because now every Friday we watch something terrible and the arguing about what to pick is gone. I have bought maybe 20 bad movies this way and only 2 were so boring we turned them off. What is your go to pick when nobody can agree?
My roommate and I went through the exact same thing, like we'd spend 45 minutes scrolling and then just watch The Office again for the tenth time. What finally worked for us was a rule that whoever says "I don't care" loses the right to complain, and it cut the fighting way down. We also keep a shoebox of cheap DVDs by the tv now, mostly stuff from Goodwill, and pulling one out blind is honestly more fun than picking. $2 a movie is a steal, I'm kinda jealous of that Tulsa bin.
