TIL my neighbor's automatic sprinkler is ruining my flower bed

I was out back last weekend digging up some dead petunias and overheard my neighbor say his sprinkler system goes off at 5am every day. My flowers have been wilting for two months and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out his spray hits my bed for 20 minutes straight twice a week. Everyone online says automatic systems are great, but I think they cause more problems than they solve for small gardens. Who else has dealt with a neighbor's setup messing with their plants?

Wait, you're telling me they actually schedule those things? I used to think automatic sprinklers were genius for lazy gardeners, but after seeing how mine was drowning the neighbor's tomatoes for a month, I'm totally with you now.
