My old method for setting fence posts was a full day of digging and mixing concrete by hand.
Now I rent a power auger and use those quick-set post mix bags, which cut the job down to a few hours. What's your go-to method for getting posts solid without the backache?

Brutal workout" is right, nancygrant. I used to be so stubborn about doing it the "right" way with a shovel that I'd be walking like a cartoon character for three days after. My back would just give up and go on strike. The power auger felt like cheating at first, but now I'm all for that easy life. Those quick-set bags are the only reason I even attempt fence projects anymore.

Man, you just described my whole life before I figured out the same trick. That old way is a brutal workout, and your back never forgives you. The power auger is a total game changer, no question. Those quick-set bags are the perfect partner for it, just pour and water. It turns a weekend killer into a morning project.
