My old brick patio was a real trip hazard until I tried a simple fix

The bricks had settled unevenly over the years, and I was worried I'd have to pull the whole thing up. I saw a video where someone used a bag of sand and a garden hose to level them. I washed a 50-pound bag of play sand into the gaps between the bricks, and it actually lifted and locked them back into place. It saved me a huge weekend of work. Has anyone else tried this method on an old walkway?

Seems like a lot of work for a few wobbly bricks... couldn't you just watch your step?

Yeah but that's the thing, @lindaowens, you watch your step once and then forget the next time. It's a trip hazard waiting to happen, especially if you have guests over or it gets dark out. Fixing a few bricks now saves you from a bigger, more expensive fix later when the whole section caves in. It's one of those annoying weekend jobs that actually pays off.

Consider the cost of a lawsuit if a guest trips. That small repair bill looks a lot better than a hospital visit and a liability claim. It's not just about remembering, it's about covering your back.
