My neighbor called my fence 'weekend warrior work' and he was right

After I put up that cedar fence last summer, old Mr. Jenkins across the alley said 'looks good from the road but those posts won't last two winters.' I was ticked off at first but he was nice enough to show me how he poured concrete footings below the frost line on his. Dug up my first post last Saturday and sure enough it was already shifting. Has anyone else had a random neighbor give harsh feedback that actually improved their project?

Kind of doubt one shifting post means the whole fence is doomed. You might be overthinking this, neighbor's just being a busybody.

300 block of Elm Street here, and my neighbor Vern spent a whole afternoon explaining why my gravel driveway was gonna wash out. @patricia_schmidt14 I get what you're saying about not jumping to conclusions, but sometimes a busybody has a point buried in there. Vern showed me his drainage setup with these big pipes under the driveway, and I gotta admit it saved me from a muddy mess after that big storm last spring. Not saying every piece of advice is gold, but you can usually tell when someone's just trying to help vs being a jerk about it.
