I finally hit 1000 boards cut on my table saw this morning

I was just cleaning up the shop after finishing a raised bed for my neighbor and realized I had filled up the little tally counter I taped to the side. Started it back in 2021 when I first got the saw and just kind of forgot about it for a while. Every time I made a cut I'd click it one more notch, never really thinking about the total. That little plastic thing hitting 1000 made me stop and look back at all the garden boxes, benches, and that wobbly birdhouse I built. Anyone else got a weird little milestone they track without meaning to?

Clicked mine over to 999 a few weeks ago and then spent an hour making sure the next cut was something good haha. Ended up being a super straightforward shelf board but it felt important at the time. I swear my tally counter has more emotional weight than half the projects I've built lmao. It's like a little scrapbook of bad measurements and accidental dados that only I know about.

Ha @grayc27 you turned your life into a shrine for a shelf board. I get it though. My counter's sitting at 873 right now and I almost cried when I had to replace the batteries last month. Felt like I was wiping the memory of every dumb mistake and half-decent joint I've ever made. That little plastic clicker knows more about my shop history than my own brain does.
