Heard a guide in Moab say the only real way to see Canyonlands is on a 5-day loop

I was grabbing a coffee before my own 2-day trip and overheard him telling a group that anything shorter was just a 'drive-by'. My quick overnighter to the Needles district felt plenty immersive and saved me vacation days. Does anyone have other amazing short routes that prove you don't need a week to get the full experience?

Morganhill is right about the deep quiet spots, but that doesn't mean short trips are worthless. My buddy did a single overnight in the Maze district last fall, just one night out and back. He said hiking down into the canyon at sunset, with nobody else around for miles, was completely silent and felt totally remote. He saw a panel of pictographs most people miss because they're focused on the long loops. He came back saying it was the most focused and quiet he'd felt all year. You can find deep experiences without a huge time commitment.

Where exactly was that pictograph panel?

That guide has a point though, some of the best spots are way deep in there. You just can't get the same quiet or see those hidden arches on a quick trip.
