Walked into a hangar in Mobile last month and found a 737 with a bird nest in the avionics bay

I was doing a routine inspection on a 737 at a regional airport in Mobile and popped open the avionics bay door. There was a whole bird nest crammed in there with twigs and grass wrapped around some wire bundles. The crew said the plane had been sitting for three weeks and they had no idea. Has anyone else found weird stuff in those bays?

Found a dead snake in a Cessna's wheel well once. No idea how it got there but it was coiled up like it was taking a nap. Maintenance guys were not thrilled about pulling it out lol.

Three weeks sitting on the ramp in Mobile humidity? That's prime real estate for birds. I've seen a shop rag fused into a control cable bundle from sitting too long, but a nest in the avionics bay beats that. All those warm electronics and sheltered spots, it's basically a condo for critters. You sure the bird wasn't trying to improve your wire routing for you?
