Tried a new crimp tool on a Honeywell APU harness and the old one still wins

Our shop got a new set of ratcheting crimpers last month, the fancy kind with the colored dies. Used them on a King Air APU wiring job in Wichita. After three hours of rework, I went back to my old manual tool from 2015. The new one just didn't seat the contacts right, kept leaving a tiny gap you could feel with a pick. Who else has a crimp tool they trust more than anything new?

Honestly, sometimes the old tool just knows the muscle memory of your hands.

Nah, that old tool just holds you back from learning better ways. Muscle memory can be a trap.

So my hands are just supposed to forget years of work? Guess I'll tell my favorite hammer it's fired for being too good at its job lol.
