Snapped a wire terminal inside a connector on a King Air this week

Had to unpin and repin a whole D-sub connector on the ramp in 95 degree heat after I broke the crimp off a terminal for a fuel quantity probe and my crimper was three hangars away.

Buddy of mine did something similar on a Cessna 310 last summer. Snapped the pin on a cannon plug for the fuel flow transmitter while he was fixing a loose wire. Had to walk the whole damn ramp to borrow a proper crimper, then spent the next 45 minutes sweating through his shirt trying to get the damn pin out without breaking the rest of the harness. Ended up dropping the tiny retaining clip into the grass and had to dig for it with a flashlight. Not his best day, lets just say.

Good grief, sounds like he earned his pay that day.

Nah, that's just part of the job. Heat and frustration come with the territory.
