Rant: spent 3 days chasing a fuel gauge fault with a Fluke 87 before switching to a $60 test light

Turns out the meter was reading fine but the intermittent was so fast only the light caught it on the ground run at KAPA, so now I want to know what cheap tool saved your tail when the fancy stuff missed the fault.
