My method for handling pilots who question my avionics calls
I never let flight crew pressure me into signing off on questionable systems. Just yesterday, a first officer argued about a gyro warning, but my trace found a wiring fault. Trust your tools, not their temper.

Lol but pilots have a feel for their aircraft that tools can't match. I've seen wiring faults get flagged, but it was just a software bug the crew suspected. Ignoring their temper might mean missing the bigger picture. Their experience is a tool too, you know?

Remember hearing about those sensor errors that kept popping up? The system said one thing, but the pilot just knew the feel was off... turned out to be a wiring issue the computer locked onto as a glitch. Sometimes the gut just gets it.

Honestly, my buddy in maintenance said a pilot's gut feeling about a weird noise found a frayed wire the diagnostics missed. That kind of experience is just another tool in the box.
