I swapped to a different torque wrench for terminal blocks and it made a huge difference

I mean, I've been using the same click type torque wrench for terminal block connections for like 3 years. Last week I borrowed a co-worker's beam type wrench for a job on a Beechcraft King Air, just to try it. The click wrench was set to 20 inch-pounds, but the beam one showed I was actually only hitting about 15. I guess my old one was out of cal and I never knew. Now I'm second guessing every connection I've made with it. Has anyone else had a torque tool drift that much without any obvious signs?

Beam types are just way more reliable for small torques.

You know, @josephbutler, I used to think the same way.
