Had a close call with a corroded connector last Thursday

I was doing a routine check on a King Air at Atlantic Aviation in Scottsdale and popped open a panel I hadn't touched in 6 months. Found green crust on a cannon plug that looked fine from the outside but was ready to short out. Has anyone else been catching corrosion hiding inside sealed connectors?

Same. Used to think sealed connectors were safe until I found one full of corrosion.

And I learned that lesson the hard way too. What finally worked for me was packing the connectors with dielectric grease and making sure the rubber seals were seated perfectly before closing them up. Haven't had a problem since I started doing that.
