Felt uneasy signing off on a panel without proper docs
My lead wanted me to okay a job just from verbal confirmation. What's your line on paperwork shortcuts?

Sometimes the job just needs to get done and waiting for perfect paperwork can hold everything up. If you trust your lead and the team, a verbal okay can be enough to keep things moving forward, especially on a tight deadline. Not every single step needs a signed form in a file, that's how small jobs become big, slow headaches. You gotta pick your battles and decide when to stand on principle versus when to just help the team finish the work.

Yeah but that "verbal okay" stuff is how stuff gets forgotten or turned into blame later. What feels like a small headache now can become a way bigger one when no one remembers who said what.

Totally agree with @lane.eric about picking when to stand on principle, because hard rules can sometimes make the problem worse.
