Update: I picked terminal to terminal over door to door for my move to Denver last spring
Moving from Seattle to Denver in April, I had two choices: pay $1,450 for door to door, or $900 to drop it at the terminal in Kent and pick it up in Aurora myself. I went with the cheaper terminal option since I figured a few hours of driving beat a $550 gap. The car showed up fine, but between two Ubers to Kent and back, plus a rental car to get me to Aurora, I ate about $180 of that savings. So was it worth it, or did I just do extra work to save $370? Curious what you all pick when the gap is under $600.
You "ate about $180 of that savings" and did all that running around for $370? Nah man, that's a bad trade. Your time and hassle are worth way more than that, two Ubers and a rental car day is a whole afternoon gone. I'd pay the $550 every time and just have them drop it at my door.
