Vent: My insurance quote jumped $340 after a hit and run in a parking lot

So last Tuesday some guy backed into my front bumper in the Walmart lot on 82nd and just drove off while I was inside grabbing milk. I had a $500 deductible and figured it was whatever, but when I called my agent she said my rate was going up $340 a year anyway because the claim counted as a not at fault accident. I used to think dash cams were overkill for a 2011 Corolla, but now I'm out here watching install videos at midnight. Anyone got a cam that actually holds up in triple digit heat without frying?
