Tried both the $9 plastic spray can trigger handle and the $25 metal one on the same job
Had 14 cans of undercoating to lay down on a frame job in my garage last weekend, so I grabbed the cheap $9 plastic trigger handle for half and the $25 metal one for the other half. The plastic one started sticking after about 4 cans and dumped a puddle of undercoat on my shoe, while the metal one never missed a pull. Is there any plastic spray handle out there that actually survives a full job, or am I just paying $25 from now on?
Bought a cheap plastic one for painting fence boards a couple summers back and it gummed up so bad I ended up just tossing it in the trash mid-job. Metal costs more up front but at least it doesn't quit on you halfway through.
