Read it on a glass shop's site last week while getting a chip filled in Reno, and now I notice one every time I park. Is a small chip actually worth $60 to fix, or is that just something shops say so you don't wait for a full spiderweb? Curious what people here do.
I heard a chip can spread into a full crack once it gets hot or cold enough, so that $60 now might save you a whole new windshield later. Mine sat for a year with a tiny chip and never moved, so it's kind of a gamble either way.
