Gap insurance saved me $4,200 in Phoenix traffic last month
Totaled my 2022 Civic at the 35th Ave interchange and the payout was $6,800 under what I still owed, so the gap coverage from my credit union actually kicked in like a 3rd airbag. Anyone else have a lender that tried to upsell them on this and then had to eat the difference later?
kicked in like a 3rd airbag" is such a perfect way to put it lol. But honestly this is the same thing as extended warranties on phones, we all say no at the counter and then something breaks and we're mad we skipped it. The gap stuff just costs more when you're wrong because cars drop in value so fast.
