Vent: Spent 3 years chasing vacuum leaks on my 87 F-150

Swapped out a cracked intake gasket last Tuesday and my idle finally dropped below 1,200 rpm for the first time since 2020, has anyone else had a simple fix hide that long?

Yeah but it still feels like winning, you know? I read somewhere that vacuum leaks on these old Ford trucks are notoriously hard to track down because the hoses get brittle and hide in plain sight.

A perfectly fine idle doesn't mean you actually fixed anything, you just found a leak you missed for three years.
