Van fleet log: Why I stretch oil filter life

I run three delivery vans and do all their upkeep. To cut costs, I change the oil filter only every second oil change. Has anyone else done this without problems?

Cutting costs like that makes my own truck's filter look neglected by comparison, lol. I should probably check when mine was last changed...

Filters are pretty cheap compared to a new engine, man. Skipping changes seems like a big gamble for such small savings.

Yeah, "big gamble for such small savings" really hits home. I used to stretch my oil changes way too far, thinking I was saving money. Then my old beater started making this awful ticking sound, and the mechanic showed me the sludge in the filter. Never again.
