That Tuesday when everything that could break actually did

Had a day last week where three cars rolled in before 9 AM, all with the exact same weird electrical issue on 2014 Ford F-150s. Took me 4 hours to figure out the first one was just a corroded ground strap near the battery tray. Then my lift decided to quit halfway through the second job and I had to use the floor jack like it's 1995. Has anyone else had a specific car model show up in a weird cluster like that?

Three 2014 F-150s in one morning? That's not a cluster, that's a full-on Ford reunion. I had something similar once with 2005 Honda Civics and their door lock actuators failing all in the same week. I swear I could have fixed them in my sleep by Friday if I hadn't kept dropping screws into the door panels (my hands were not made for that kind of dexterity work). My lift gave out once too, right when I had a minivan halfway up, and I had to do an emergency dismount like I was in a action movie. At least yours waited until the second job to quit, mine picked the moment I was balancing the thing on one leg of the floor jack.

You had to do an emergency dismount like you were in an action movie." That part got me laughing but hold up - you're saying you dropped it on one leg of a floor jack? That's not an action movie, that's a nightmare. I've had a jack slip before and trust me, that sound is nothing like Hollywood. On the Ford thing, those 2014 F-150s are notorious for that ground strap, but it's not always near the battery tray. Sometimes it's tucked under the fender liner and you gotta pull half the front end apart to find it. Makes you wonder if Ford had a guy whose job was just hiding ground straps in the worst spots possible.
