That cracked flexplate noise finally clicked after a shop foreman said it once

I spent two weeks chasing a rattle on a 2017 F-150, thought it was the torque converter. Overheard a foreman tell a rookie to put a stethoscope on the bellhousing while it idled and rev it, heard the difference clear as day. Anyone else ever wasted days on a noise that one listening trick would've solved right away?

Grab a cheap mechanic's stethoscope and listen at the bellhousing before you ever pull a trans again.
