Saw a guy at the Charlotte auto auction rebuild a carb on a tailgate in 40 minutes
I was at the Charlotte auto auction last Saturday and this older guy bought a rough 78 Chevy truck for $1,200. He pulled the carb right there in the lot and had it apart on a red shop rag on his tailgate, cleaning jets with a wire from a parts store bag. Took him maybe 40 minutes start to finish and it fired right up. What got me was how many young guys walked by filming him instead of asking questions or helping. Have you guys noticed the trade shifting away from hands on learning like that at auctions and swap meets?
