Put anti-seize on my own lug studs last weekend and now I gotta ask if I messed up
I've been doing tires for 8 yrs at a shop in Tacoma and always torqued dry, but last Saturday I put a thin coat of anti-seize on my own truck studs before a 900 mile trip. Checked them at 300 miles and again at 600, all still at 140 ft-lbs, but a guy I work with swears the lube makes the torque reading lie and I'm gonna lose a wheel. Any of you running anti-seize on daily drivers, and if so what number are you actually torquing to?
