Just found out lift cylinders on some 2015-2018 Ford F-150s can leak into the wiring harness, and now I'm checking every one
Was reading through a TSB folder a buddy lent me from his old dealer job in Columbus and found a note about fluid wicking up the lift harness on certain F-150 tailgates. Apparently the fluid travels up the wires and eats the connectors over time, causing random electrical gremlins that nobody can trace. I had a truck on my rack two weeks ago with a phantom tailgate issue and I spent 3 hours chasing grounds before I gave up. Checked the connector after reading that TSB and sure enough, it was wet with fluid. Anybody else run into this on the 2015-2018 body style, and did you replace the whole harness or just clean it out?
