I thought using aftermarket parts was always shady, but a repair job changed that.

I used to only install factory parts, thinking anything else was low quality. Then I fixed a van where the OEM part was backordered for weeks. The aftermarket alternative worked just fine and got the customer back on the road fast. Now I see it as a good option when I lay out all the facts first.

Ha, tell me about it! People act like using aftermarket parts is a crime, but sometimes the factory option just isn't there. @gracehernandez gets it, it's not that deep if the work gets done right, you know?
