Wrote off spot putty as junk until a painter in Garland showed me his trick
I always thought spot putty was a hack for lazy work and stuck to glaze for everything. Then last month a painter named Luis in Garland mixed it thin and dragged it over sand scratches instead of filling them, and those panels came out glass smooth after 800 grit. I tried it on a quarter panel that kept ghosting under the basecoat and the scratches disappeared. Now I keep a tube in my box, but only for scratches, not dents. What do you all use for those hairline sand marks that keep showing through?
