Worst Friday in 9 years of painting, all because of one clogged line

Last Friday I was blocking a 2017 Accord and the clear coat started spitting orange peel like crazy. Turns out a tiny piece of dried paint had lodged in my gun's fluid nozzle, and I didn't catch it until I'd already laid down two full coats. I had to strip the whole deck lid and redo it, which ate 4 hours and about $60 in materials. Anyone else got a favorite story about a tiny clog that ruined their whole afternoon?

Ngl, stripping a whole deck lid over some orange peel sounds like a lot. You said two full coats went down, but didnt you check the pattern on a test panel first? That takes thirty seconds and saves you from this exact mess. Most guys I know would just wet sand the peel out and reshoot a single coat, not burn four hours and sixty bucks on a full strip. You either got really unlucky or youre making this sound worse than it actually was.
