Was dead set on using OEM parts only until a customer argued me down

I used to think aftermarket parts were garbage no matter what, but a guy last month brought in his 2018 F-150 and showed me his CAPA certified fender that fit perfectly for half the price. He had me check the gaps myself and they were within a millimeter. Has anyone else had good luck with aftermarket stuff or am I still taking a risk?

Bro, "fender that fit perfectly" is the key phrase there. I've had similar luck with CAPA certified stuff on older cars, but it's a dice roll. The problem is the cheap no-name parts from Amazon, those are trash 90% of the time. Stick with known aftermarket brands that have good reviews and you'll be fine most of the time.

It's like everything these days, you gotta know which corners you can cut.
