TIL my fender paint blend turned into a mess

I tried blending the paint on just the fender to save time, like a lot of guys say is fine. The color match looked okay at first, but it started to peel after a few days, maybe from poor prep. Do you think blending is too risky, or did I just get unlucky?

Victor's etch step... did you skip it too?

Blending can work but it’s all in the prep. If the surface isn’t perfectly clean and etched, the new paint has nothing to grab onto and it just lets go.

How many times have you seen that happen, @victorh67? I've watched people skip the etch step and then wonder why it peeled right off.
