Shoutout to the guy who told me to try a heat gun on old decals
Honestly, I thought it was a waste of time compared to just scraping. But this 1978 Chevy pickup had factory pinstripes that were baked on. I tried a 1500-watt gun on low, about six inches back, and they peeled off in one piece without any glue left behind. Took maybe twenty minutes for the whole bed side. What other old-school tricks have you guys found that actually work?

My own heat gun is still in the box because I'm scared I'll melt my eyebrows off.

It's funny how the simplest tools often get overlooked for the fancy ones. I've found that a lot of the old methods just work because they're direct.
