Read a stat about waterborne paint and had to switch

I was dead set on sticking with solvent-based paint because that's what I learned on 10 years ago. Then I read a report from the EPA that said waterborne systems cut VOC emissions by over 90% compared to traditional stuff. Saw it in a body shop trade magazine last month and it made me rethink everything. Anyone else here made the jump to waterborne and regretted it or loved it?

I read a 2022 study from the Collision Repair Education Foundation that said shops switching to waterborne had way fewer health complaints from their painters. That was the thing that got me to finally try it. I had always worried about the coverage being thin or it not sticking right, but the modern stuff is really impressive. It lays down smooth and I haven't had any problems with it peeling or fading. The flip side is you have to be more careful about temperature and airflow in the booth. But honestly, I sleep better knowing I'm not breathing in all those fumes all day.
