Rant: I was wrong about using a cheap spray gun for clear coat

I used to think a $60 spray gun from Harbor Freight was fine for clear, but after a job on a black Mustang last month, I saw how much orange peel I was fighting. I switched to a SATA 5000 RP and the difference in finish and how fast it lays down is crazy. Anyone else have a tool they finally upgraded that made a huge difference?

My cheap orbital sander finally died and the upgrade was a total game changer.

Get a dust bag for it, the upgrade makes a huge mess otherwise.

Oh man, I feel this. That orange peel fight is real. Listen to @troy832 on the dust bag, it's a must. The Sata just lays it down so wet and flat, cuts your buff time in half.
